Zac Gallen Earns Win, Mookie Betts Homers for Los Angeles

The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4 on Wednesday night at Chase Field, thanks to a grand slam by David Peralta in the fourth inning.

Peralta's blast came off Dodgers starter Julio Urias and gave the Diamondbacks a 5-0 lead. Arizona would add three more runs in the sixth inning on a two-run single by Josh Rojas and an RBI double by Christian Walker.

Zac Gallen earned the win for the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out eight batters and walked two.

The Dodgers got on the board in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Mookie Betts. They would add two more runs in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Will Smith and an RBI single by Chris Taylor.

The Diamondbacks bullpen held the Dodgers scoreless over the final 3 2/3 innings to secure the victory.

With the win, the Diamondbacks improved to 10-16 on the season, while the Dodgers fell to 14-12.
