A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage crashed on Wednesday in northern Iran. The condition of the president is currently unknown.

Rescuers are currently searching for survivors of the crash. The helicopter was traveling back to Tehran from East Azerbaijan when it went down. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
