Vancouvers Canucks Line Combinations Seem to Stick

Tocchet tinkers not expected for Game Four

No changes to the lines from last night

April 5, 2024 Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet stuck with the same line combinations as last game. The lines that powered the Canucks to a 4-3 comeback win in Game 3 against the Oilers will be the same in Game 4. The Canucks will be looking to take a 3-1 series lead in front of their home crowd. Tocchet has been juggling the lines all season, but he seems to have found a combination that works. The Canucks have won three of their last four games, and they are now one win away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs.

The Canucks' top line of Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, and Conor Garland has been clicking all season. The trio has combined for 25 points in the playoffs, and they are a major reason why the Canucks are in contention for the Stanley Cup. The Canucks' second line of J.T. Miller, Bo Horvat, and Vasily Podkolzin has also been solid. The trio has combined for 15 points in the playoffs, and they provide the Canucks with a secondary scoring threat.

The Canucks' bottom six forwards have also been chipping in offensively. Tyler Motte, Matthew Highmore, and Curtis Lazar have combined for seven points in the playoffs. The Canucks' defense has also been strong in the playoffs. Thatcher Demko has been solid in goal, and the Canucks have allowed just 10 goals in their four playoff games. The Canucks are now one win away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs. They will be looking to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night.
