Track Field Splits for Drake Relays LSU Invitational Mens Golf Begins SEC Championship in Eighth Place

Ole Miss Track and Field shined in the 12th annual Drake Relays held in Des Moines Iowa. The Rebels had a number of impressive performances including Urszula Wisniewska who won the women's hammer throw with a toss of 80.95. Jaiyah Durr also had a strong showing in the 100 meters finishing third with a time of 11.39.
LSU's men's golf team got off to a slow start in the SEC Championship as they finished the first round in eighth place. The Tigers were led by Cohen Trolio who shot a 72 and is tied for 17th place. LSU will need to make a strong push in the second round if they want to contend for the championship.
Football Hands Out 2024 Spring Awards
Following the conclusion of spring practice the Ole Miss Football program handed out its 2024 Spring Awards. The awards are given to recognize the players who have excelled both on and off the field. The top award is the Chucky Mullins Courage Award which is given to the player who best exemplifies the spirit of the late Chucky Mullins. This year's recipient is safety AJ Finley.
Ole Miss Football Grove Bowl Games
The Ole Miss Football team held its annual Grove Bowl game on Saturday. The game is split into two teams the Red team and the Blue team. The Red team defeated the Blue team 24-21 in a close game. Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the Red team to victory throwing for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Quinshon Judkins also had a strong game rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Kiffin and the Rebels Have Been Hot on the Recruiting Trail
Head coach Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels have been making waves on the recruiting trail recently. The Rebels have landed a number of four-star recruits including wide receiver Nick Emmanwori and defensive back Davison Igbinosum. Kiffin has also been successful in getting commitments from a number of top junior college players. The Rebels recruiting class is currently ranked 10th in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite.
Ole Miss Defeated Oklahoma in the 2022 Mens College World Series Finals
The Ole Miss Rebels defeated the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2022 Mens College World Series finals to win the Rebels first title. The Rebels won the best-of-three series 2-0. The Rebels were led by pitcher Hunter Elliott who won both games of the series. Elliott pitched a complete game shutout in the clinching game.
